For reasons related to his move to HBO Max, Search Party season 3 was delayed. This is not the case with Season 4 ending up arriving on the US streaming service just over two weeks ago. You don’t have to wait any longer to discover it in France, since it starts tonight on OCS City at 9:05 pm
HBO Max’s delivery model differs from its competitors with episodes uploading in several weeks. When it comes to a drama, there are two at the same time. For a comedy like Search Party, the streaming platform opts for three at a time. Three on January 14, three on the 21st, and the last four on the 28th. Once completed, it will therefore arrive in France on OCS.
As for the plot, this picks up directly from the events of Season 3. At the end of her trial, Dory (Alia Shawkat) was exonerated. However, she is immediately kidnapped by her psychotic admirer Chip (Cole Escola) who is determined to convince her that they are the best friends in the world. Meanwhile, Portia (Meredith Hagner) participates in a film about the trial but does not play her own role. Elliott (John Early) has changed sides and reinvented himself as a conservative talk show host. Finally, Drew (John Reynolds) tries to put his past behind him and takes a job at an amusement park. Although distracted by their personal activities, they will gradually realize that Dory has not really gone to Europe and they start looking for her.
In terms of casting, this season 4 of Search Party brings together John Early, Alia Shawkat, John Reynolds, and Meredith Hagner who are joined by Cole Escola, Susan Sarandon, Ann Dowd, Busy Philipps, Griffin Dunne, and Lillias White.
