Airing in October 2020 on the UK channel ITV, the 4-part thriller The Sister starring Russell Tovey is posted today on the streaming service Salto.
Coming from Neil Cross, the creator of Luther, who brings to the screen his novel published in France under the title The man who dreamed of burying his past, The Sister introduces us to Nathan (Russell Tovey), a good man apparently in a relationship with Holly, still in mourning for her missing sister Elsie.
In truth, Nathan was instrumental in Elsie’s disappearance which happened three years later during a party, and he’s desperate to keep it a secret and protect his relationship with Holly. However, Nathan isn’t the only one who knows what happened, Bob (Bertie Carvel) also knows the truth and when the latter reappears on his doorstep with terrifying news, it sets off a series of events. catastrophic.
