As Apple TV + prepares for Trying season 2 to launch on May 14, the streaming service announces that it has already renewed the series for a season 3.
This is not necessarily surprising news, in the sense that Apple seems to be getting used to renewing its series well in advance. She did the same for Servant, For All Mankind, Ted Lasso, Dickinson – all renewed for a third season even before the second season arrived on the platform.
As a reminder, Trying is a comedy from Andy Wolton that follows a couple in their thirties, Nikki and Jason (Esther Smith and Rafe Spall), together for years now. They try to have a child but find that it surely is not possible for them biologically. Faced with this news, the couple must rethink their future and turn to adoption. This ordeal invites them to contemplate their flaws and what their existence looks like.
Season 2 of Trying, therefore, continues to follow the couple as they face the adoption process, and nothing is ever easy. For Nikki and Jason, it seems like every child goes right under their noses and they are left behind. When Nikki meets a little girl named Princess, she instantly knows that this is the kid to them, but there are obstacles to overcome in getting there, and some just might be overwhelming.
We naturally find in this season 2 of Trying, alongside Rafe Spall and Esther Smith, Imelda Staunton, Ophelia Lovibond, Oliver Chris, Sian Brooke, Darren Boyd, and Robyn Cara.
