Written and directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, this first season of Bombay Begums follows in today’s India five city dwellers – Rani, Fatima, Lily, Ayesha, and Shai – from different generations who are confronted with their desire, with ethical questions. , personal crises and their vulnerability to ambition. As glass ceilings and hearts shatter, tough decisions must be made. And as each seeks its truth, they find together, and against all odds, the support they need.
The Bombay Begums story begins when Rani, recently appointed CEO of her bank, tries to nip a scandal in the bud. A promotional offer tears Fatima apart. Ayesha tries to restart after a mistake.
