Continuing to adapt Harlan Coben's novels across Europe, Netflix turns this time to Spain for The Innocent, full episodes of which will be released on the streaming platform on April 30.

Thus, after Intimidation and In the Woods, it is the turn of the American author's novel which appeared in France simply under the title Innocent to be adapted into a miniseries by Oriol Paulo.

The story of The Innocent begins when, while interfering in a fight, Mateo (Mario Casas) kills a man. He finds himself sent to prison. Nine years later, he goes out and begins to rebuild his life with his wife, Olivia (Aura Garrido). One day, while Olivia is away on business, she receives a phone call that will prompt Mateo to embark on a quest for the truth. Investigating a suicide, Lorena Ortiz (Alexandra Jiménez) will take an interest in Mateo's actions.
