EXPLANATION OF THE END OF SEASON 1 OF FATMA

At the end of Season 1, Fatma is taken away for questioning by the police. This coincides with the opening scenes of the first episode. Fatma is informed that Bayram is in custody and is shown numerous photos of the victims she killed. Fatma suddenly begins to vomit and walks out into the main hallway. She begins to lose control, pulling away from Mine and seeing the ghosts of everyone she's killed over the course of the season. She walks over to the roof, seeing images of Oguz standing in front of her. Mine eventually catches up with her.

Mine looks at her sister with teary eyes and tells Fatma that what happened in the barn was not her fault. They were children then. As Fatma pushes her sister away, the truth about Oguz emerges. Fatma pushed Oguz back and that is why he was hit by a car. Unable to face the grief any longer, Fatma throws herself from the roof. At the end of Fatma season 1, we see Fatma lying on the roof of the car, and just before the credits roll, her hand moves and she opens her eyes slightly.

Fatma Season 1: Explanation of the end of the Netflix series!

IS FATMA DEAD? WHAT SUIT FOR HER?

While the enticing ending of Fatma Season 1 answers many questions and brings a sense of finality to the protagonist's quest for revenge, we remain uncertain of Fatma's fate. Fatma, who survives her fall, is both relieved and melancholy. As spectators, we are attached to the unstoppable protagonist and do not want her to die. However, any life she has now is very likely to be miserable, given what we know. Moments before she jumps off the roof, we see the Inspector showing her lawyer photos that appear to incriminate Fatma in a murder.

Another sad reality for Fatma, if she survives her fall, would be to come to terms with the fact that she killed her son, which she had so far refused to accept. Throughout the series, only two people motivate Fatma to do whatever she does: her missing husband, Zafer, whom she is trying to find, and her late son, Oguz, whose death she is trying to avenge.

She loses confidence in her husband when she realizes he has accepted money from their son's killers. Now that she realizes that she could be responsible for her son's death, she has lost the other great driving force that kept her going.

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE BARN?

We are not explicitly shown what happened but through flashbacks, it is easy to piece together what happened. Fatma and Mine were victims of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse during their childhood. Mine then left, presumably leaving Fatma alone to suffer all the abuse.

Particularly revealing is Fatma’s conversation with Ekber’s mistress in Episode 3. The words she used, combined with the flashes of the past, helped show how much she was affected by this situation.
