WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR SEASON 3 OF SOLAR OPPOSITES ON DISNEY PLUS?
The second season ended on May 28, 2021, with 8 episodes of approximately 20 minutes on Disney Plus. Fans will be delighted to learn that the series was given the green light for Season 3 on June 18, 2020, well ahead of the Season 2 premiere.
In light of the pandemic, studios have found it easier to produce anime because they are safer than live-action series. Importantly, the show's first season ended production even while the Stay Home Order was in effect, indicating that Solar Opposites Season 3 should be coming shortly. If the same release pace is respected, then the Solar Opposites Season 3 release date should be set for spring 2022 on Disney Plus!
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE FOLLOWING?
The last time we saw the aliens Korvo, Terry, Yumyulack, Jesse, and their Pupa, they were facing issues ranging from aquatic nanobots to the Wall. A tiny civilization of shrunken humans existed in Jesse and Yumyulack's bedroom. Roiland and McMahan suggest they intend to pursue more humorous ideas like the Wall. We might even see Pupa undergo changes.
This time, the creators of the series wanted to highlight the dynamics of the relationship between Pupa and Solars. This is an interesting aspect that will be explored further in the series. Season three is expected to introduce new aliens with a mission similar to that of the Solars.
As for how many seasons Solar Opposites is expected to last, Roiland believes the show can go on for a bit longer depending on the stories they pursue.
