Loki is available on Disney Plus! If you want to know the explanation for the end of Episode 4, read on! From beginning to end, the last episode is a roller coaster trip for viewers. Before they are about to be wiped out on Laminitis-1, Loki and Sylvie are brought to TVA headquarters. Sif makes an appearance, not in person but as part of Loki’s punishment, organized by Mobius. To learn all about the release of Episode 5, read this.
This episode is also about the truth. Mobius and the B-15 fighter both recognize the truth about them, leading to a fundamental VAT shake-up. Loki himself learns some things about himself, some uncomfortable, other revolutionaries. And then there’s the post-credits scene, which announces that Phase 4 will be even crazier. Here’s everything you need to know about the Loki Episode 4 ends.
EXPLANATION OF THE END OF LOKI EPISODE 4
The series initially presents the Keepers of Time as super-powerful beings capable of controlling the flow of time. The TVA propaganda video declares that they are the ones who brought peace and harmony by merging all the warring timelines into the single Sacred timeline.
As the series progresses, it is revealed that the Keepers of Time are not as benevolent as their employees seem to think. In Episode 3, Loki learns from Sylvie that all TVA employees are themselves Variants, torn from their lives and times.
The end of Loki’s Episode 4 reveals that the Keepers of Time aren’t even the tyrannical entities Sylvie and Loki think they are. Rather, they are “brainless androids” who are probably controlled by another entity. It is possible that what Ravonna knows, the other judges also know, given that the TVA is an inherently bureaucratic organization.
It is possible that whoever controls the TVA felt that Hunter C-20 was too dangerous and had it pruned. If that’s the case, she may still be alive as Loki and show up in future episodes.
EXPLANATION OF THE POST-CREDITS SCENE!
Loki was allegedly murdered by Ravonna Renslayer and awoke in a post-apocalyptic New York. So who are the new Loki variants welcoming him there, and what might they know about the true origins of TVA?
On the far right is old Loki, played by Richard E. When he originally debuted in the 1962 comic Journey Into Mystery # 85, Grant was dressed in a variation of the traditional Loki outfit. In the middle is Kid Loki, played by Jack Veal, who is from a more recent comedy arc in which Loki died and was reincarnated as a child (from Thor # 617). To the left is a hammer-wielding Loki, played by Deobia Oparei, who in German credits is referred to as a boastful Loki. Finally, there’s the crocodile held by Kid Loki, whose horned helmet identifies him as another variant of Loki.
The Loki Variants stand in the ruins of New York City, with the ruined Stark / Avengers Tower visible behind them. It seems that these variants are hiding in an apocalyptic event, like Sylvie, but in this case, they are hiding after the apocalypse has taken place. It is not known whether this is the future in the sacred timeline or an alternate timeline.
Could one of Loki’s many variations be responsible for the creation of TVA? The post-credits scene certainly raises a lot of questions that Loki’s two remaining episodes will need to answer.
