WATCH THE END OF PENNYWORTH SEASON 2 EXPLANATION ON AMAZON PRIME VIDEO!

Pennyworth is available on Amazon Prime Video! If you want to know the explanation for the end of Season 2, read on! Pennyworth has always been weird, but never that bad. This is unusual since movies and television based on comic book properties generally tend to be one way or the other, either decidedly insane from the start, or relentlessly sinister, dark, and serious.

Over two seasons, Epix’s Cockney crime movie, close to Batman, was funny, touching, down-to-earth, wacky, and more, but it never really embraced its DC heritage. Pennyworth's Season 2 ending is likely to be divisive over how it has to ignore things like the basic logic of the story and consistency just to excuse its big moments and reveal. To find out if a third season is coming soon, read this. For the explanation of the ending of Pennyworth Season 2, read on!

EXPLANATION OF THE END OF PENNYWORTH SEASON 2!

In the Season 2 finale, Alfred and his friends returned home. The League rejoices at their tremendous triumph, Thomas and Martha Kane agree to marry, and Alfred returns his father to their home to reconcile with his wife, Mary. However, not everything goes as planned. In reality, the League only stole a decoy. The “Project Stormcloud” is hidden in the coffin containing the body of Lord Harwood, which is still in the church where Salt's televised eulogy was held.

While Troy intended to kill Alfred once and for all, he changed his mind after learning of the threat from "Stormcloud" during a visit to English League headquarters. Troy and Lucius Fox arrive on the scene to save Alfred and Dave Boy, but Lucius knows it's too late as he tries to disable the explosives. At Raven Union headquarters, Salt activates the weapon when attacked by Bet Sykes and his sister. In the church, Fox explains that they only have a few moments before the bomb goes off. Alfred volunteers to swallow the "Stormcloud" capsule, hoping to contain the explosion, but Troy ends up making the sacrifice for him.

The blue compound of "Stormcloud" takes over Troy, taking his life but containing the detonation. With the threat of the bomb finally over, Salt is arrested by the Ravens Union Army for his crimes and Frances Gaunt takes his place as head of the organization. But as Troy's body is whisked away from the church and locked in the back of a van, the blue energy of "Stormcloud" shines through the windows under Alfred's horrified gaze.

At this point, “The Lion and Lamb” takes a six-month leap forward. With him, he brought the League's super-soldier: Gulliver Troy. It turns out that Troy was not killed after swallowing "Stormcloud". Instead, his body has been transformed, and he now has special abilities that have transformed him into a one-man army.

Elsewhere in London, Martha, who is now married to Thomas, is giving birth in her apartment. Thomas is there to help her through this ordeal as a nurse gives birth. The real shock, however, comes when the nurse reveals the baby to be a girl. Thomas and Martha are both thrilled with the news, but fans are wondering what it means for Bruce Wayne's future.
