Work in Progress Season 2: in a trailer and in August on Showtime

In addition to bringing back The L Word: Generation Q this summer, the American cable channel Showtime will offer Season 2 of Work in Progress, a year and a half after the premiere. The broadcast will then begin on Sunday, August 22.

If you are not familiar with this series available in Showtime and in France on Canal + Séries, Work in Progress was created by Abby McEnany and Tim Mason and co-written by Lilly Wachowski (The Matrix, Sense8). It is based on the original show by Abby McEnany who is a veteran of the Chicago comedy scene. History suggests that we follow McEnany’s tribulations and relationships in Chicago. A 45-year-old overweight lesbian, Amy has a series of misadventures that fuel her despair, which will lead her to develop a surprising, dynamic, and transformative new relationship.

When Season 2 begins, we reunite with Abby the day after she broke up. Despite this, things are finally starting to turn out well for her. This is where a family emergency and elements outside its control coalesce to drag him into a new minefield.

In terms of the cast, this season 2 of Work in Progress, Abby McEnany will again be surrounded by Celeste Pechous, Armand Fields, Karin Anglin, Bruce Jarchow, Theo Germaine, and Julia Sweeney.
