Adrian asks his mother if Victor is going to go to hell after talking to Father in church. Isabel explains to Adrian that the Father is mistaken and that the Bible may be read in a variety of ways. It’s all about love in the hearts of people.
Isabel meets the Father of the Church and confronts him about the commentary on hell. She tells him that Victor needs support and that Adrian has accepted his brother instantly. She knows that God loves her son. She leaves the church and asks Father to find a new musical director. An important moment for Isabel, who begins to kiss who her son Victor is!
Victor tells Benji he can’t just disappear. Benji says that’s why he didn’t tell him he was going to AA – he doesn’t want Victor to think he’s cracking up and drinking alcohol. The couple wonders what’s going on with them with all these arguments. Victor shows Benji a photo of the two of them taken in the darkroom, but his phone then displays a text from Rahim, who is wondering if Benji is okay.
Benji wonders why Rahim asks him if he’s okay. Victor admits that he told him about his drinking – he apologizes, but Benji feels he can’t trust him. Benji asks for a break. Oh, dear! Episode 8 looks at issues of trust and conflicts with outdated religious values, as all the characters seem to be heading towards a crux.
