In a few weeks, the MacBook Pro should be pointing the tip of their noses with, apparently, a lot of similarities.
In the coming months, Apple could launch a completely revised 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro. The design of the two computers would certainly be different, and so would the core. Both devices will integrate an M1X chip. According to a leak, the speed would be equivalent on the two models.
The same processor on 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros
Oftentimes, Apple equips its top-performing MacBook Pro with a faster processor to provide customers with a computer that performs better than smaller models. According to a leaker, the two MacBook Pro that would be unveiled in a few months will depart from the rule.
According to Dylandkt, the 14-inch MacBook Pro and the 16-inch MacBook Pro “will have the same chip and the same performance.” He points out that the two computers will use the “same M1X chip”.
Typically, the US giant includes a discrete GPU in its larger devices, not to mention the lack of a second GPU in Mac versions M1 and eGPU support. This is why analysts say Apple will not include the discrete graphics chip in 2021.
Without a doubt, the only difference between the 14in and 16in MacBook Pro would simply be the dimensions. Note that the leaker indicates that customers should “expect a significant increase in the price of the 14-inch compared to the 13-inch.”
Analytes say the M1X chip is an upgrade from the Apple M1 Silicon with a 12-core processor and a 16-core graphics processor. This 2021 vintage should also benefit from a RAM capacity of 64 GB.
In addition, rumors circulating on the web indicate that Apple would opt for a miniLED backlight and would consider an upgrade of the webcam by switching to the FaceTime 1080p camera.
