What is Truth Be Told Season 2 about?
If you are not familiar with the series, Truth Be Told is a creation by Nichelle Tramble Spellman that explores Americans’ obsession with podcasts of criminal news. The first season, inspired by the novel The Poison of Truth by Kathleen Barber, introduced us to journalist/podcaster Poppy Parnell (Octavia Spencer) who decided to reopen the career-long case when new evidence prompted her to question the guilt of the man she sent to prison (played by Aaron Paul).
Season 2 sees Poppy Parnell plunge into a new affair that directly involves her childhood friend, Media Baroness Micah Keith (Kate Hudson). Over the course of the episodes, their long-standing friendship is strained.
In Truth, Be Told season 2 we find that Octavia Spencer, but also Mekhi Phifer, Michael Beach, Ron Cephas Jones, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood, Tami Roman, and Katherine LaNasa.
