One fateful day, John-John finds himself in the right place at the right time and saves Patricia, Elisabeth’s little sister, from drowning, and the two meet for the first time. They quickly find out that they are attending the same theater school and sparks begin to fly, despite Elizabeth's attempts to keep her distance, as she is in mourning for her mother.

It doesn't take long for the current to pass between them. But that happiness can't last forever, and when John-John is cornered in a dead-end corner, the differences between their worlds threaten to tear them apart forever. Elisabeth's father warns against his relationship with John John, and later John John explains everything over a voicemail message. However, Jacob thinks John John deserves another chance, even though he knows of JJ's involvement in the heist. Coming from a poor social background, John John was drawn to crime from an early age.

But Kiba makes a timely call to Elisabeth, and they rush to the scene to prevent a tragedy from happening. But John John makes the right decision and calls 911 before pulling the trigger. The police take him into custody, but there is one final twist.

With her scooter, Elisabeth intercepts the police vehicle, forcing the officers to take her into jail as well. The cufflinked couple kiss in the final scene, as the car takes them to jail. Vinterviken’s ending suggests that the bond between the two remains stronger than ever, even in the face of adversity.


Tariq is Nancy's ex-boyfriend, and the humiliation is too much for him. It doesn't take long for him to pull out his gun and pull the trigger. In the next scene, we see a devastated John John being consoled by Kiba. His rage indicates that Sluggo died after the incident.

John John takes it into his head to go to Tariq and teach him a lesson, which brings us to the amusing final turn of events. He calls 911 and escapes a bloody shootout. This mature act seems to reassure Elisabeth of John John's innocence, and they resume their relationship, albeit under difficult circumstances.
