Right now, Netflix is betting big on crime documentaries and movies that focus on police investigations based on true stories. And that’s no wonder because so many Netflix subscribers enjoy this type of fiction.
This Friday 05 November 2021, fans of the genre were able to discover the feature movie Yara, inspired by a real news item that touched the hearts of millions of Italians more than 10 years ago. But one question remains unanswered for many who have seen the fiction: can we expect Yara 2 to release soon on Netflix?

In the movie directed by the Italian Marco Tullio Giordana, we were able to discover the sad fate of the young teenager Yara Gambirasio, who was found stabbed in 2011 on a vacant lot near a small Italian town, so that she was only thirteen years old.
As you saw in the movie Yara, the young woman’s body was not discovered until a year after her disappearance, making the investigation and search for clues particularly difficult. DNA samples from all the inhabitants of Brembate di Sopra ultimately led to the name of a suspect: Massimo Bossetti, a seemingly uneventful local mason.
But after more than ten years of twists and turns, this investigation is still not over. Although he was sentenced to life imprisonment, lawyers for Massimi Bossetti asked for the DNA scans to be reviewed, a request that was granted in 2021.
The case of the disappearance of the young Yara, therefore, remains to be followed and it would not be surprising if Netflix decides to order Yara 2 if a new trial leads to an upheaval in this investigation which has held the Italians in suspense for more than 10 years.
You will understand, the production of Yara 2 is not currently being considered by the streaming platform with the red logo. Yara 2 will be ordered if Netflix sees any interest in it and there is anything new in the matter. But at the moment, that’s not on the program.

The trailer for Yara 2 is not going to be released soon. The movie will already have to be ordered by Netflix and this is, as we mentioned earlier, highly unlikely shortly. However, we will keep you informed of any new information is added on this matter.
WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR YARA 2 ON NETFLIX?
At this time, there is no release date for Yara 2. Netflix has not made an official announcement regarding the production of Yara 2, but there is little chance that the sequel to the feature will see the light of day anytime soon.
This will be the case if the investigation gets any further twists and turns, and if so, the Yara 2 release date will have to be expected in the years to come.
