Even though Dr. Hannah Asher has only recently returned to Chicago Med, she will be thrust into the center of the storm in next week’s season 7 episode 18. By that, we primarily mean that it will thrust her into a confrontation with Dr. Dean Archer. We know how obstinate and irrational this character can be, so this will not be an easy situation for her to overcome.
What makes matters worse for her is the fact that she is a woman. Well, here’s how the Chicago Med season 7 episode 18 synopsis explains it:
Archer and Hannah clash over a patient with close ties to Goodwin on 04/13/2022 (08:00 PM – 09:00 PM) (Wednesday). Dylan and Crockett assist with the investigation after a patient is shot during a home invasion. Maggie and Will work together to protect a patient who is illegally in the country. TV-14
It’s not easy to be in a situation where the patient has a connection to Goodwin. You’re putting yourself in a situation where one wrong move could land you in a very difficult situation, and it’s even more difficult when you’ve just returned from the hospital!
What else are we looking forward to seeing here? A lot of it is tied to what’s going on with Dylan and Crockett. This could be the type of story that reintroduces Dr. Scott to a world he’s familiar with. Meanwhile, Dr. Marcel lacks the necessary law enforcement experience. As the story progresses, he’ll have to learn new things, but we like seeing some of these doctors out of their element whenever possible. It makes a significant contribution to the show’s overall fabric!
