On August 12, 2022, Day Shift was released. There have been no renewal announcements regarding the release of Day Shift 2 on Netflix as of yet. However, given Netflix’s track record of approving sequels to blockbuster projects, Day Shift may also receive a sequel.
It will be determined by the movie’s reviews and popularity. In terms of storytelling, there are also plenty of possibilities for a sequel.
The world-building in Day Shift is excellent. However, some of its aspects are either ignored or only briefly mentioned. In the event of a renewal, the release date for Day Shift 2 on Netflix should be set for mid-2024!
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE SEQUEL TO THE DAY SHIFT?
Although Bud beheads Seth in Day Shift, the latter survives because he has been turned by an Uber vampire. Bud and Seth then band together with Heather and Big John to save Bud’s family. Big John is bitten as well as appears to be sacrificing himself, but in the movie’s final scene, he is revealed to be alive and well.
