WHAT IS THE STORY OF POWER BOOK III RAISING KANAN ABOUT?
Power Book III: Raising Kanan is the second “Power” spin-off series that follows Kanan Stark’s life. The series, set in the 1990s, follows Kanan’s rise in the drug trade and how he made a name for himself in criminal circles.
Kanan Stark’s early years are especially interesting for fans of the original series, where he was a friend-turned-rival of protagonist James St. Patrick.
The majority of the first season’s main cast is expected to return, including Mekai Curtis as Kanan Stark as well as Patina Miller as her mother Raquel Thomas. There are a few changes, however: Hailey Kilgore isn’t predicted to return after the death of her character, LaVerne ‘Jukebox’ Ganner, in Season 1, as well as Antonio Ortiz’s character Shawn is expected to play a larger role this season.
